Art therapy helps to resolve conflicts, solves problems and facilitates transformation through self-exploration and expression. Art making provides a way to communicate using shape, color, and depicts relationship. There is choice as how to organize or structure personal meaning of ones created imagery.
Clients often use art to create something new out of distress to provide sensory, affective and cognitive narratives, which carry new meaning to their experiences.
